Brown babies come to the U.S. others stay in Germany (viiii)

After a long, 17 hour Scandinavian Airlines flight from Germany, the Grammer Children entered the U.S. at Idlewild Airport, now known as JFK, in New York. They were accepted and welcomed in the homes of Black families across the United States. States like “Alabama”, with laws against interracial marriages, created barriers for the adoption of brown babies thought to be the product of mixed relationships. This was evident in other the southern states within the U.S.
Brown babies that were not adopted and brought to the U.S. grew up in Germany or Europe. Many have offspring of their own. This is very similar to the brown babies that were adapted to the U.S. The population density of former brown baby in the U.S. in a distribution by state has yet to be tabulated while, in Germany, many articles have been written about the lives and whereabouts of their brown babies. .
